Arran Fine Foods

Arran Fine Foods is based in the village of Lamlash on the east coast of Arran looking toward the Scottish Mainland.

The small factory started life in the early 1970s producing only mustard, but due to the quality and demand, the range of mustards was expanded, followed by the development of other product ranges including relishes, chutneys, marmalades and preserves all produced to a quality that matches that of the surrounding countryside.
Arran Strawberry Extra Jam Arran Strawberry Extra Jam
A rich deep wine red preserve made using 45% whole strawberries of two varieties: one variety picked for its fullest flavour and colour and one picked for its ability to remain whole during the cooking process. The initial sweet flavour is quickly replaced with a lovely tangy strawberry note.

Serve: Try spreading this on scones or pancakes, or stir in a little black pepper and use as a savoury spread in cheese or meat sandwiches. Mix with some lemon juice and use as a topping for cheesecakes. Stir into pouring cream or natural yoghurt and use as a sauce for desserts, fruit salad or ice cream.

Arran Raspberry Jam

Made with 45% Scottish raspberries, 340gram

Made using only the finest hand picked red-ripe raspberries from the Blairgowrie fruit-growing region of Scotland. Serve: Try spreading it on pancakes or scones or along with whipped cream, use it to sandwich sponge cakes together.

 

Arran Bramble & Pear Arran Bramble & Pear
A deep wine coloured preserve containing 27% whole blackberries and 18% diced pears. There is an initial slightly sweet blackberry flavour followed by a nutty pear note. The texture is chunky with fruit.

Serve: Try spreading it on pancakes or scones or use instead of butter on oatcakes and cheese. Use it warm as a topping for ice cream and pears.

Arran Vintage Marmalade with Glengoyne Whisky Arran Vintage Marmalade with Glengoyne Whisky
A traditional chunky marmalade made with Seville oranges, cut a little thicker for a real citrus tang. A large measure of Glengoyne enhances the real fruit flavour, and makes this the perfect choice for a real Scottish breakfast. This marmalade contains no artificial colourings, flavourings or preservatives and is suitable for vegetarians, vegans, and Coeliacs. 340gram

Arran Orange Marmalade Arran Orange Marmalade
A fine cut golden orange marmalade made using 30% Seville marmalade oranges. The initial sweet flavour is quickly replaced with a lovely tangy citrus backnote. 340gram

Serve: As well as the traditional standard item on the breakfast table, try using this marmalade on oatcakes or scones or blend with a little red wine and use as a glaze for ham, or pork
